Just no end to the fun

Tuesday evening I got a call from my best friend, Mandy. Her ex was in the hospital having emergency triple by-pass surgery.

Mandy is still her power of attorney for her medical needs, in fact, just a few weeks ago they discussed the situation and Mandy agreed to continue to do that for her.

Well, Molly was just going in for a stress test on Tuesday morning. The results were poor enough that they sent her over to the Dayton Heart Hospital for a heart cath. Well, after the heart cath, they immediately began prepping her for surgery.

Been spending some time every day with Molly. She came through it real well, especially for someone who has childhood onset diabetes. When she was a kid, they told her she would not live past her early 20's. Well, she is 44 and still has all her appendages and is a pretty tough ole' bird. Now the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation says it cuts life expectancy by 7 to 10 years, so that is a tremendous change in medical intervention over the last 30 years!

She is recovering very well and they expect, baring complications, that she will be released on Sunday.

I am no longer employed, so I will probably go over and take her on walks until she is ok to be on her own.

It seems like every few weeks life has something new to offer up!

Oh, they caught it before it damaged her heart tissues, so that was a real good thing.
